The Windamere Darjeeling has two sections- the Windamere and the Little Windamere. While the Windamere is the perfect picture of a 19th century colonial estate, decked up in period furniture and accessories, devoid of any modern gadgets. The Little Windamere on the other hand is for the modern tourist who likes an adulterated period setting. TV, Telephone, etc. come with the rooms at this part of the hotel.
The restaurant at the hotel offers mind blowing views of the Himalayas and serves lip smacking Indian, continental and Tibetan cuisine. The cozy bar is the place to idle over a glass over your favorite drink.
The Windamere provides a Conference Centre which accommodates up to 40 people. The Business Centre is also well equipped with modem equipments like projectors, computers and Internet access.
Windamere hotel has its own company of artistes, who entertain the guests to live music and ghazals in the intimate setting of the hotel's Bearpark Parlour. Christmas Week is celebrated at Windamere from December 18th to January 1st every year, as a tradition since 1939.
