Cough
and Cold
(Irritation
in the chest & throat, headache etc.)
1-2
gm powder of equal parts of black pepper (kali mirch) long pepper
(pippali) and dry ginger (sonth) with honey, 2-3 times a day.
or
Paste
of one segment of bulb of garlic (lasuna), boiled in water with 5-10
gm sugar, twice a day
or
1-2
gm powder of fried turmeric (haldi) with honey, thrice a day.
Vomiting
(White,
yellow or green coloured frothy vomiting, drowsiness etc.).
Powder
of fried seeds of 1-2 cardamom (ilaichi) with honey, thrice a day.
or
Lemon
(nimbu) juice 5-10 ml. mixed with water and a pinch of salt, 2-3
times a day.
or
3
ml. lime juice mixed with sugar at one hour intervals.
Abdominal
Pain
(pain
around naval)
Powder
of ajowa fruits (ajwain), 1 gm with lukewarm water, 2-3 times, at one
hour intervals.
or
Paste
of pinch of asafoetida (heeng) with lukewarm water to be applied on
and around naval area.
Diarrhoea
(frequent
watery stool)
Take
pulp of bael (wood apple), 2-3 gm twice daily.
or

gm. powder/paste of rind of pomegranate (dadim) twice a day with
honey.
or
Powder
of nutmeg (jaiphal), 125 mg - 250 mg with lukewarm water, 2-3 times a
day.
Constipation
Paste
of Chebulic myrobalan (harad) with black salt, thrice daily.

Isabgol
husk 3-5 gm., with milk at bed time.

Raisin
(munakka) and Chebulic myrobalan, 2 gm. each, with milk at bedtime.

cloves (laung) fried in clarified butter (ghee) and chewed.

warm juice of ginger (adrak) 2-4 drops in the ear, twice a day.

warm juice of radish (mooli) 2-4 drops, twice a day.

Common
Colds with Fever
(low
temperature, feeling of warmth, pain in body and loss of
perspiration)
Decoction
of 2-3 gm powder of ginger (adrak), black pepper (kali mirch), long
pepper (pippali), liquorice (mulethi) in equal quantity and 7 leaves
of tulsi (Indian basil) 2-3 times a day.

Decoction
of 30 gm coriander fruits (dhania) in 100 ml. of water and sugar,
once a day in the morning.
or

gm powder of long pepper (pippali) with 5-10 gm. of honey, three
times a day.
or
Boil
5 gm of dried ginger, in 1 litre of water, to be taken 2-3 times a
day.
or

gm powder of dried ginger, mix with 3 gm jaggery, twice a day.

pinch of asafoetida (heeng) in 1 table spoon of warm water, 2-3
times a day.

gm ajowa fruits (ajwain), 1 gm. of salt, with warm water, two times a

Low
backache/Joint Pain (pain in joints and waist region)
Boil
5 gm dry ginger (sonth) in 50 ml of water and reduce to 20 ml. Mix
with 5-10 ml of castor (arand) oil, thrice daily.
or
10-20
ml of castor (arand) oil with warm water/milk at bed time.
or
Fried
fenugreek (methi) seeds (1 tablespoon) with milk, twice daily.

Decoction:
It is a process in which the ingredients are boiled in 4 times of
water and reduced to 1/4, the same is taken like tea.
