About Laxmi Niwas Palace
Set amidst vast lush green lawns, lily ponds and fountains the Laxmi Niwas Palace is a
dream carved out of Red Sand Stone.

Accommodation
Laxmi Niwas Palace was the personal residence of Maharaja Ganga Singhji of Bikaner. The
residential rooms were designed keeping in mind the fact that they would be used by the
royal family itself or by the personal guests of the Maharaja as only guests of equal
status to the Maharaja would be invited to spend the night in the Palace.
Most of the rooms are decorated lavishly using gold wall paintings and have painted or
carved wood ceilings. Dining
Swarna Mahal
A luxurious speciality restaurant serving authentic Northwest Frontier Cuisine, the Swarna
Mahal is located in the erstwhile dining room of Maharaja Ganga Singhji. This dining room
is decorated with pure gold wall paintings and a gilded carved woodwork ceiling. Enjoy the
excellent food while the ambience transports you to a fairy tale world of beautiful
princesses and chivalrous princes.
Hari Mahal
Located in the study room of Maharaja Ganga Singhji this 24-hour coffee shop serves
delicacies from around the globe.
Chowk
This filigree like inner courtyard is the hart of Laxmi Niwas Palace. Gala dinners are
organized in this masterpiece designed by Sir Swinton Jacob. Enjoy a lavish dinner while
folk dancers and musicians entertain you. The grand finale is a fireworks display.

The Trophy Bar
This well stocked bar serves a wide range of drinks and a variety of cocktails. Decorated

The Smoking Room (A Conference Hall)
This beautiful hall was the smoking room of Maharaja Ganga Singhji. The green and gold
theme wall painting with carving and gilded wooden ceiling was designed to provide an
ambience conducive to serious thinking. The smoking room has been witness to many
important cabinet meetings of the Bikaner State. Today it is the conference hall of the
Laxmi Niwas Palace. Equipped with all major facilities it provides the perfect backdrop
for an unforgettable conference.
