30th May: Arrival Leh
Reach Leh and get a warm welcome from the tour representative on day 01 of the Buddha Purnima Festival Tour. Transfer to the hotel and leisure for rest of the day. Overnight stay at the hotel.
31st May: Full day At Festival
Witness the famous Buddha Purnima Festival on 31st May. Celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Buddha and the day when Buddha got enlightenment, Buddha Purnima is an important festival and is celebrated on a full moon day in April. Overnight stay at the hotel.
01st June: Leh sight seeing
Go on a sightseeing tour of Phyang Monastery on 01st June. Belonging to the Red Hat Sect of Buddhism, Phyang Monastery is situated at a distance of 17 kilometers from Leh. Later visit Matho and Stakna monastery. Overnight stay at the hotel.
02nd June: Leh - Sumur (Nubra Valley)
Day 04 of the Buddha Purnima Festival Tour begins with a journey to Nubra Valley via the World Highest Motorable road (5602 Mts) Khardungla pass. Situated 37 kilometer by road from Leh, Khardungla is a high mountain pass and is located in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir. On reaching, check in at The Silk Route Cottages. Evening free for leisure. Overnight stay at the Cottage.
03rd June: Nubra Valley Sight Seeing
Proceed for a visit to the White Sand Dunes at Hunder on June 3rd. Enjoy the camel ride on your own and visit places like Hunder and Diskit monasteries. Trek to Samstaling Monastery in the evening. Samstanling Monastery is 132 years old and is founded by Lama Tsultrim Nima, the Monastic community is known as Rezong Gompa. Overnight stay at The Silk Route Cottage.
04th June: Sumur to Leh
Day 05 of the Buddha Purnima Festival Tour begins with a drive to Leh via Khardungla pass the World Highest Motorable road. In the evening visit and explore the famous Leh bazaar for souvenir. Also visit Leh Jokhang or Leh Mosque by foot. Overnight stay at the hotel.
05th June: Leh Sight Seeing
On June 5th, go on a full day sightseeing tour of Shey, Thiksey and Hemis monastery. About 19 kilometers away from Leh, Thiksey Gompa is one of the largest and architecturally most impressive Gompas. Whereas, Hemis Gompa is the wealthiest and one of the best known and biggest Gompas of Ladakh and is just 40 kilometers away from Leh. Overnight stay at the hotel.
06th June: Leh to Uletokpo
On day 07, drive from Leh to Uleytokpo and enroute visit Alchi monastery. Take a walk to the beautiful village of Mangyu after lunch. Overnight stay at the Uleytokpo camps.
07th June: Excursion to Lamayuru
Go for an excursion to Lamayuru monastery on June 07th. Also known as Yung Drung (Swastika), Lamayuru is one of the oldest holy sites in Ladakh. Visit the Rizong monastery and Chulichan nunnery in the afternoon. Overnight stay at the Uleytokpo camps.
08th June: Uletokpo to Leh
Drive back to Leh and on the way visit Likir and Spituk monastery. Founded in 11th century, Likir Gompa was rededicated to a different monastic order in the 15th century. Spituk Gompa is beautifully located on a hilltop and provides a beautiful view of the Indus Valley. Later in the evening visit Stok Palace and museum. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
09th June: Departure
On June 9th, transfer to Leh airport to board flight for the onward destination.
