Landscaped in sharp cliffs of hills and narrow valleys of the Aravallis Sariska National Park encloses dry and deciduous forests. The dense vegetation in the park comprises of Dhok, Khair, Tendu, Ber, Surwal and Goria. Located at a distance of 34 kilometers from the town of Alwar and sprawling over an area of 800 square kilometers it is conducive to the nurturing of thorny scrub vegetation, dry deciduous forests and greens making it the ideal habitat for the nourishment of wildlife. The National Park houses the fragments of ancient temples and monuments belonging to the 11th and 12th centuries. You can also get amazing views of flying Egyptian vultures and Eagles from the 17 th century castle at Kankarwari at the Nationl Park. The Sariska National Park was recognized as a sanctuary in 1955 and became a national park in 1979. It is one of the famous tiger reserves of India. Elephant and Jeep safaris take you on a tour across the park.

The Sariska National Park is shelters numerous carnivores like Leopard, Wild Dog, Jungle Cat, Hyena, Jackal, and Tiger. They prey on species such as Sambar, Chitel, Nilgai, Chausingha, Wild Boar and Langur. Sariska is also home to a large number of Rhesus Monkeys, which are found in and around Talvriksh.

The Avian species are also rich and varied. It is home to exotic birds like Peafowl, Red Jungle Fowl, Spur Fowls, White Breasted Kingfishers, Golden Backed Woodpeckers, Great Indian Horned Owls, Quails, Partridges, Sangrouse, Tree Pies, Crested Serpent Eagles, Parakeets, Drongos, Sunbirds and Vultures.

By Rail: The nearest railway station is located in Alwar. It is 37 kilometers away from the national park.
