Introduction
Also known as the Ganga Golden Jubilee Museum, the Ganga Government Museum houses royal treasures of Bikaner. The erstwhile building of the museum was built in red sandstone close to the Lalgarh Palace by Maharaja Ganga Singh. Maharaja Karni Singh later constructed a bigger building and shifted its location in 1954.
Description
The Ganga Government Museum houses hunting trophies that provides evidence of the existence of life around 320 AD. Ganga Government Museum�s first floor displays portraits of the rulers of Bikaner. Interesting objects made of glass, wood and metal are displayed in Ganga Government Museum. Other interesting objects include crafts made by Usta craftsmen and gold leaf paintings on camel hide. The museum houses other objects of the royal family like utensils, clothes and carpets.
