Jaisalmer is the city of various historical events and actions. The city is not only famous for its palaces, forts and other mansions but also important as a powerful business centre in Rajasthan. Patwan ki Haveli is the most attractive havelis in Jaisalmer. The haveli bears wonderful history and work of art that Rajput and Mughal have introduced in the country. The well decorated haveli bears expensive decorated items that were imported from foreign countries like China, Afghanisthan and other foreign lands. The building bears elaborated stone carvings that add the glamour and grandeur to the mansion.
The exact date of the haveli is not known and the research says that the haveli was built between the years 1800 to 1860. the haveli is named after the owner of the haveli named Guman Chand Patwa and his five sons.
The haveli is centrally located in the city of Jaisalmer and can be easily accessible by the local transport.
