Day 01: Arrival at Delhi
As you arrive at the ancient city of Delhi, be prepared to be
swept into the rich fabric of culture that surrounds it. Home
to some of most important attractions, Delhi is just the perfect
place to start your sightseeing tour. After being checked into
a hotel, you can spend the rest of the day taking rest as well
as planning out the activities of the next few days. You could
also discover some of the secrets of the city of Delhi as you
move around the city. Arrangements are made for an overnight
stay at Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi - Ranthambore Tiger Reserve
Day two begins with breakfast after which you are transported
to the railway station to board the morning train that will
take you to Sawai Madhopur which is around 400 kms away from
Delhi. Sawai Madhopur which is the nearest town from the Ranthambore
Tiger Reserve is approximately 6 hours away from Delhi, after
which you are transported to the Park.
The afternoon of the second day begins with a Jeep Safari inside
the Reserve Forest. As the evening draws on the park, you could
spend the rest of the day indoors lazing over a few slides on
tigers.
The day ends with an overnight stay at the resort.
Day 03: Ranthambore Tiger Reserve
Day 3 begins with a full day viewing of the beauty and natural
wonders of the jungles at Ranthambore. These include two safaris,
one in the morning and the other in the evening, into the interiors
of the secrets of the Ranthambore National Park.
Day 04: Ranthambore Tiger Reserve - Jaipur
Day 4 begins with an early morning safari that will help to
discover the rich treasures of the Reserve Forest. This includes
observing tigers in their natural habitat. This is followed
by a drive to Jaipur, another treasure house of the culture
and heritage that India symbolizes. About a 4 hour drive from
Ranthambore, Jaipur is just about 156 kms away from the National
Park. You are checked into the hotel on your arrival into the
Pink City after which you can spend the afternoon at leisure
or discover the many sights and sounds of Jaipur before returning
to the hotel for the night.
Day 05: Jaipur
Day 5 involves a complete day of sight-seeing at the Pink City.
This includes an elephant ride up to the famous 17th century
Amber Fort, followed by a trip of discovery of the beautiful
City Palace, which also contains a museum. Besides this the
day involves a visit to0 the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds,
which perhaps symbolizes Jaipur's love for pink and Jantar Mantar,
the astronomical observatory built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the
ruler after whom the Pink City has been named. The day ends
with an overnight stay at the Hotel.
Day 06: Jaipur - Agra
The day starts with an early breakfast after which you are
driven to Fatehpur Sikri, the medieval town built by the Mughal
emperor Akbar, which is at a distance of about 5 to 6 hours.
The trip to the town involves visits to Bulund Darwaza (the
largest gateway in the world), Jama Masjid and the Tomb of Shaikh
Salim Chisti, the great Sufi saint of India.
This is followed by a drive to Agra, where you are can visit
the Taj Mahal, one of the most beautiful monuments of love in
the world. After returning to the hotel for breakfast, you are
taken to visit the Agra fort, which houses the memories of one
of the most vibrant phases of Indian history. The day ends with
an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 07: Agra - Delhi
Day 7 starts with a drive to Delhi (200kms-4 hrs away). After
checking into your hotel, you are led to explore the city of
Delhi. We start with Old Delhi, traveling to Red Fort, Jama
Masjid, and enjoy an exciting Cycle Rickshaw ride in the busy
lanes of the Chandni Chowk, the main street of Old Delhi and
a lively shopping bazaar.
You are then introduced to the streets of New Delhi where you
can visit the Rashtrapati Bhawan (the official residence of
the president of India), India Gate - a 42 m high stone memorial
arch, the 12th century Qutub Minar, the mid-16th century Humayun's
Tomb and the famous Lotus Temple in New Delhi. The day ends
at the hotel.
