Red Fort - located on the eastern fringe of Shahjahanabad, Red Fort was built by Shah Jahan. The two main entrances of the Red Fort are the Delhi Gate and the Lahori Gate. There are a number of marvelous heritage buildings like Rang Mahal, Moti Masjid, Diwan-I-Aam, Diwan-I-Khas and Pearl Mosque.
Jama Masjid - originally called Masjid-i-Jahan Numa, Jama Masjid was completed in 1656. It is the largest mosque in India.
St Stephens Church - built in 1862, the church showcases gothic style of architecture with stained glass windows and high ceiling. The church is built on the Church Mission Road.
Salimgarh Fort - built on river Yamuna in 1546, the fort is polygonal shaped and the gate is made of red sandstone.
St James Church - built by Colonel James Skinner, the original cross was destroyed during the 1857 mutiny.
Rajghat - houses the mortal remains of the Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation.
There are many traditional shops like Chatta Chowk, Kinari Bazaar, Nai Sarak, Dariba Dalan, Chor Bazaar and Dariyaganj book market. The shops are famous for selling traditional style jewellery, curios and handicraft.
