Introduction

One of the most popular temples of Delhi, Chhatarpur Mandir is located about 4 kilometers from Qutub Minar. The temple is devoted to Goddess Durga and Dussera is one of the most popular festivals celebrated in the temple.

Nearby Attractions, Chhatarpur Mandir

Alai-Darwaza - built in 1311, Alai-Darwaza is one of the gateways to the utub Minar. It was built as an extension of Ala-ud-din Khilji's Quwaat-ul-Islam Mosque. The architecture of Alai-Darwaza displays the magnificent craftsmanship of the Delhi Sultanate.

Quwwatul-Islam Mosque - built by Qutubuddin Aibak, Quwwatul-Islam Mosque is one of the two mosques in the Qutub Minar complex. It is located in front of the Minar.

Iron Pillar - located at the centre of the Quwwatul-Islam Mosque in the Qutub Minar complex, the Delhi Iron Pillar is over 1500 years old. It has drawn attention of the archeologists and metallurgists.

Alai Minar - a victory tower made of red sandstone, about 27 meters high is incomplete. It was meant to be the gateway to tomb of Iman Zamin, the tomb of Iltutmish and the mosque.

Tomb of Iltutmish - built in 1235 by Shamsu'd-Din Iltutmish, the architechture of the tomb is magnificent. The tomb has many beautiful arches and domes.

Imam Zamin's Tomb - the tomb of Imam Zamin is not extraordinary in its architecture however it is marvelous. The lattice work is intricate and adds a special beauty to the structure.
