Introduction: The ISKCON Temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and is one among the 40 temples in India that belongs to the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. The ISKCON Temple was constructed by the devotees of Lord Krishna in the year 1998, to spread the instructions of the Bhagwad Gita.
The interior walls of the ISKCON Temple have been decorated with esthetic works of the Russian artists which portrays the different phases of the life stories of Radha-Krishna and Sita-Ram. The sculpted image of Radha-Krishna and other gods are simply stunning and fine-looking. The central prayer hall and the temple museum are very attractive. The Temple Museum organizes for multimedia shows on the stories of the great Hindu epics, Ramayana and Mahabharata for the followers to understand easily. The Hare Krishna cult is practiced and preached with great interest and dedication.
Location: The ISKCON Temple is situated at Raja Dhirshain Marg in Sant Nagar near the east of Kailash locality.
Admission Fee: The entry to the temple is free of cost and open to all and the whole sightseeing stretches for about 45 minutes.
Admission Timings: The main prayer hall of the temple closes from 12 noon to 4 p.m. The preferable timings are Morning Prayer time - 4.30 a.m., 7.15 a.m., 7.45 a.m. and Evening Prayer time - 12.30 p.m., 7.00 p.m., 7.45 p.m.
How to reach: People can avail the facility of local buses, hired auto-rickshaws, taxis or metro rail from various spots in the city.
