Introduction
Sultan Ghari's Tomb, the first Islamic monumental tomb is located about 8 kilometers from Qutub Minar at Lakhnauti. It is built by Iltutmish in 1231 for his eldest son, Nasiru'd-Din.
The tomb is octagonal in shape and is placed at the centre of the courtyard. The courtyard has colonnades on two sides.
