About Borra Caves

Borra Caves,Kirinrandal is located 90 kms away from Vishakhapatnam on the way of Araku Valley. The cave was discovered by H.B. Foote in the year 1854. The cave is now maintained by archeological survey of India. This is a natural cave and second largest cave in India.

Borra Caves,Kirinrandal This cave is a limestone cave which was built due to the various actions of river Gosthani. The river which used to flow has created this cave and the cave has been with the mineral deposits of the river. There are various structures like temples, mosques, mushroom temples and church.

How to reach

You can avail the local buses, autos or hire a car. You can reach the place by rail route as Vishakhapatnam is 90 kms away from the cave. The regular buses ply from different neighboring states and cities.
