Eravikulam National Park in Kerala, spreads across 97 square km along the Western Ghats in the Idukki district. Nilgiri Tahr also known as the Nilgiri Ibex, is the main attraction of the park and half the world population of Nilgiri Tahr resides here. Besides , you can also spot elephant, leopard, tiger, malabar civet, sambar, barking deer, nilgai, langur and phyhon. Nilgiri marten, small clawed otter, ruddy mongoose, and dusky striped squirrel cal also be seen for a while. You can also find varieties of birds like black and ornage flycatcher, Nilgiri pipit, Nilgiri wood pegeon, white bellied shortwing, Nilgiri verditer flycatcher and Kerala laughing thrush.
