About Velankanni:

To this the boy listened and after he went to his master to sell milk, he informed him of the incidence and also for the late coming. So, both the master and the milk boy went to the previous spot and they met her once more. The nearby Tank was thus named after her. There are numerous other incidents, like the one in which the lady cured a lame boy and saved a merchant ship from sinking, relating to her greatness and mercy.
