Immediately after breakfast we will set out for Kanchipuram. After seeing the temples, we will proceed to Mahabalipuram. In Mahabalipuram we will be seeing the famous rock cut shore temples and admire the exquisite sculptures. It is indeed a privilege to be seeing these historical structures that are emblematic of remarkable architectural dexterity as well. Then spend the night in the hotel at Mahabalipuram.
Day 3: From Mahabalipuram to Pondicherry, Sight Seeing at Pondicherry
In the morning we head straight for Pondicherry. After freshening up at the hotel in Pondicherry, we start a sight seeing tour of this city which was once a French colony. The visit to the calm and tranquil Aurobindo Ashram will surely give you peace of mind. The French War Memorial and the Aayi Mandapam are also included in the trip. We halt for the night at Pondicherry.
Day 4: from Pondicherry to Trichy
Early in the morning we set out for Trichy. On the way we will visit several other important tourist attractions. The places that will be covered are Kumbakonam, Ganhgaikondacholapuram and the Nataraja temple at Chidambaram. After reaching Trichy, we will check in to the hotel and rest for the night.
Day 5: Sight Seeing at Trichy, Departure for Madurai
In the morning we will be visiting Srirangam and Jambukeswara temple and then we will set out for Madurai. On reaching Madurai, we will check in to the hotel and rest for the night.
Day 6: Excursion to Rameswaram, Sight Seeing at Madurai
The day begins with an excursion to Rameswaram. This is sure going to be a very unique experience. After returning you will get some free time to relax. The best has been kept in store for the evening. In the evening you will not only be visiting the architectural marvel Meenakshi Temple but you will also get a chance to witness the Aarati ceremony. The night will be spent in Madurai.
Day7: From Madurai to Chennai
The morning starts late. There is no hurry. Relax for some time and then you will be transferred to the airport to board the flight for Chennai. After arriving in Chennai, you will be taken to the Chennai international Airport from where you can board the flight back home carrying back memories of a wonderful trip.
