The White Royal Bengal Tiger is characterized by the stripes that are found in their body. What is interesting about these stripes is that one is not a replica of the other. Just like fingerprints, each stripe can be distinguished from the other. These stripes are not just found in the furs of the tiger. They are a pigmentation of the skin.
The White Royal Bengal Tigers are not very energetic creatures. They are capable of running at a speed of 60 km per hour but tend to get exhausted very soon. On an average these animals sleep for 16 to 18 hours. Yet another characteristic of this animal is that it is fond of water and can swim very well.
The White Royal Bengal Tiger is very patient by nature. It first observes the prey for a long time. It jumps at the prey only at the opportune moment. It generally gets hold of the prey by the neck and then kills it with the help of its strong jaws and teeth. Its eyesight is also very good and enables it to hunt its prey at night.
They try to adapt themselves to various climatic conditions by shedding or growing their body hair. When it is cold, they increase their hair growth and vice versa when the temperatures rise. In general they prefer to stay alone and the only bonds that develop between them are either during courtship or when the young ones are being bought up by their mothers.
In India, the white royal Bengal tiger can be found in a number of National Parks like Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Bandipur and Ranthambore and in the Wildlife sanctuaries of Kaziranga, Nagarhole and Manas.
