Introduction
Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary is an extension of Bandipur National Park. The river Moyar flows and the park is ideal for bird watching, the national park falls on the boarder of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. The place is the nest of colorful razz and in the winters the whole atmosphere fills with the vibrancy and life.
Description
Mudumalai Wildlife Sanctuary is wide region where various wild animals and birds have their safe home ground. In the months of winter the place becomes crowded with various migratory birds. The place not only the nest for bird but you can also spot various other animals like Elephants, Gaur, Banner, Macaque, Common Langur, Tigers, Leopards, Chital, Panther, Sloth Bear, Python, Barking Deer, Four Horned Antelope, Otter, Crocodiles , Giant Flying Squirrel, Sambar, Hyena, Wild Dog, Wild Boar, Mouse Deer, Spotted Deer, Jackal, Hare, Porcupine and Mongoose.
You can also locate the typical floras of as Tamil Nadu is the store house of various Ayurvedic plants.
How to reach
The wildlife sanctuary can be reached by the all modes of transport like by railway, road and air route. The nearest railway station is Udhagamandalam which is 95 km way from the sanctuary.
Coimbatore is the nearest airport and flights from various parts of the country connect the place.
Gudalur in the nearest town and the local busses and the local vehicles are the best way how you can easily reach the land of nature and wild animals.
